I am a Humanistic Counsellor based in Kings Worthy, just north of Winchester. I work with both adolescent and adult clients on a one-to-one basis in my small private practice.
I have a great deal of experience of working with vulnerable young people, mostly within an educational setting and I have a particular interest in working with young people. My sense is that counselling can have a huge impact on a young person’s life - whether it be protected time for them to unload their troubles or more in-depth work easing distress and supporting self-discovery.
I have experience of counselling adults in two very different settings in Winchester (University of Winchester and The Women’s Centre, Trinity Winchester). Life today is busy and can be overwhelming. Difficult life experiences and emotions can be put to one side in the rush of life. My sense is that they rarely stay to one side and at some time or another will become too loud to ignore. Counselling can offer a quiet, private opportunity to cut through this noise.
I believe that all people have worth and value and we all have the ability to change and the right to be fulfilled. I hope to offer support that can help you to feel a positive sense of self and learn how to manage distressing experiences or feelings. I provide a safe counselling environment that can offer this support.
