Dr Katie Andrews; Chartered Clinical Psychologist (DClinPsy; HCPC registered)
I am an experienced Doctor of Clinical Psychology (registered with the Health & Care Professions Council, and the British Psychological Society) offering psychological therapy to adults who require support for any form of psychological distress or mental health problem.
I also offer therapy to those who simply wish to learn more about themselves in order to progress in any aspects of their lives (whether that be in relationships, work or leisure).
Whether you have a particular problem or set of problems that you wish to overcome, or simply want some help to gain an increased understanding and awareness of yourself, I can help you work towards realising and achieving your goals.
I work with a number of therapeutic approaches (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic oriented Therapy, Schema Focused Therapy and Person Centred Counselling) - please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the kind of therapy you are looking for.
I have two secure, private therapy rooms; one in Walsall and one in Wolverhampton (both West Midlands). I am also happy to consider online or telephone sessions.
All sessions last for 50 minutes (for prices and my booking process, please see below).
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology; I also hold a BSc in Psychology & Humam Biology.
I have more than 15 years of experience working therapeutically with clients to help them understand and resolve a wide range of psychological difficulties, (including but not limited to those that may be linked to childhood trauma or abuse).
In addition to my private work, I am also employed in the NHS as a Senior Clinical Psychologist working with adults with complex and enduring mental health problems. I also regularly supervise others, teach at local universities and lead reflective practice groups.
