About me

About Me:
I am a fully qualified, accredited and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

I work with adults and young people (ages 13+) who find their lives impacted by various issues, including anxiety, depression, panic, relationships, low self-esteem, abuse, life transitions, anger, grief, and self-harm.

I also work with clients dealing with eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and obesity).

I counsel couples who may be struggling due to an affair, a betrayal, or sometimes just a drifting apart.

In addition to my work at the University of Surrey counselling students and staff, I also have a private practise in Fulham. I work short-term (3+ sessions) and long-term with clients, based on their needs.

How We Would Work Together:
I believe the relationship between the therapist and the client is the core to effective therapy. We'd have an initial session to talk about what brings you to counselling and if you feel comfortable working with me, we'd book further sessions.
I tailor my therapy to your needs - it may include solution-focused techniques, or cognitive behaviour techniques. It may use mindfulness to help with stress reduction. We may explore your past using a psychodynamic approach. The key is you feel comfortable and safe in the room with me, and only then can we explore what bring you to therapy.

Testimonials:
"Without your help this semester, I honestly don't know where I would be. Thank you for listening and not judging but instead giving me alternatives to what I thought were impossible situations." Female, 21

"You helped me through a dark period in my life, thank you." Male, 19

"Thank you for helping me see things in a different way." Female, 44

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
