Feeling stuck with your life? Wanting to make some positive changes but unsure what or how to start? Anxiety or depression making it difficult for you to enjoy everyday experiences?
Hello, I'm Kathryn and I am a qualified counsellor. I can give you the space to talk things through and help you to process and reframe your thoughts. I can help you to identify unhelpful patterns of behaviour and explore your emotions in a way to help you move forward in your life. Looking into finding a suitable counsellor can be a daunting prospect. The fact you are looking shows you may need some support in your life. Counselling allows you to talk through your issues in a safe and confidential space.
My private practice, 'Sense Counselling Manchester' provides a secure, calming environment to help you communicate what is troubling you. My role is to listen and assist you in finding your own way to a more fulfilled and positive life. I do not offer advice or opinion; simply help you find your own way to a brighter future.
I mainly work in a Person Centred manner however can incorporate other forms of counselling, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or Transactional Analysis into the therapy work. My particular interests are working with clients on anxiety, depression/low mood and relationship issues. I have worked with clients on a broad range of issues varying from bereavement, work, sexuality, stress to suicidal tendencies.
If you would like to meet with me the first step is to book in for an initial assessment. This can be helpful for you to see how I work and see if you feel comfortable working with me. I understand that beginning counselling can often be overwhelming so it is important to find the right counsellor for you. You are under no obligation to continue working with me after the initial assessment.
Please contact me if you have any further questions.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
