Kathryn Hutchinson (Dip. Couns. Reg MBACP)
Hello, I'm Kathryn and I am a qualified counsellor. I am passionate about helping others in moving forward when times are tough. Looking into finding a suitable counsellor can be a daunting prospect. The fact you are looking shows you may need some support in your life. Counselling allows you to talk through your issues in a safe and confidential space.
I provide a secure, calming environment to help you communicate what is troubling you. My role is to listen and assist you in finding your own way to a more fulfilled and positive life. I do not offer advice or opinion; simply help you find your own way to a brighter future.
I mainly work in a Person Centred manner however can incorporate other forms of counselling, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or Transactional Analysis into the therapy work. My particular interests are working with clients on anxiety, depression and domestic violence. I have worked with clients on a broad range of issues varying from bereavement to suicidal tendencies.
I offer a reduced rate initial assessment. This can be helpful for you to see how I work and see if you feel comfortable working with me. I understand that beginning counselling can often be overwhelming so it is important to find the right counsellor for you. You are under no obligation to continue working with me after the initial assessment.
Please contact me if you have any further questions.
