About me

My passion is supporting people with their wellbeing and mental health. I’m a good listener with a caring, compassionate and comforting approach. Contact me for a confidential discussion to take the first step towards positive change.

I'm a naturally empathic and warm individual who has extensive experience of supporting individuals who are challenged by life which leaves them struggling with a wide range of wellbeing and emotional issues. I have a great deal of experience working with anxiety and depression, bereavement, stillborn, stress, trauma, abuse, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, addiction, life stages and changes/pressures. I've also supported and worked with individuals who are dealing with a lack of identity and feeling lost in life, anger issues, sexuality, motivation, low self-esteem, finding meaning in life and health challenges like chronic pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and brain trauma.

As a qualified counsellor my aim is to provide you with a safe and confidential space for you to feel comfortable and valued to be able to share and process your challenges and difficulties in life. There is no pressure, expectation, judgement or bias, just time and space for you to recharge and grow.

Ultimately my goal through our therapy is for you to feel less burdened, with more clarity, self-awareness and feel back in control of your life with confidence and self-belief. The learning from our therapy journey can be used to shape your future in a way which is more meaningful to you as a person accepting and connecting with your uniqueness.

I know there are times when life can feel overwhelming, demanding, hectic, and sometimes frightening, very much out of our control. With my genuine support our work together can focus on your personal growth and recovery, building your resilience and improving your mental health and general wellbeing. Above all for you to move on realising and appreciating who you are and what you want from life.

Seeking counselling can create mixed emotions but carrying the worry and heaviness of our lives can hold us back, keep us stuck and overshadow our happiness and sense of fulfilment. I am here to help.

Please contact me to discuss any queries or questions that you may have. I can be flexible around arrangements and offer long or short-term sessions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
