Sometimes, we can face difficulties that have a significant impact on our mental health and wellbeing. When that happens, we may feel trapped in our distress and unsure how to move forward.
Counselling and psychotherapy have been proven to help. Talking to someone who won't judge you or tell you what you should do can help you find your own path towards your goals. The counsellor accompanies you on your journey. They may also suggest specific psychotherapy techniques to help you identify and overcome any long-standing issues.
I am a counsellor and psychotherapist working in the Garstang area and Lancaster. I offer counselling and psychotherapy for a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, addiction, life transitions and relationship problems.
I believe in tailoring my approach to the needs and experiences of the individual client, and my training in Integrative Psychotherapy helps me to do this.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy (Level 7), and I am currently completing a dissertation to upgrade this to a Masters degree.
I have experience gained both in a general counselling service and working with clients in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. I also have specific experience in working with people on the autism spectrum.
