About me
My name is Kathryn Cox.
I am offering online counselling through Whats App or zoom at the moment !
Looking for a counsellor and deciding on who to choose can be quite daunting and may feel overwhelming.
My counselling practice based in Carmarthen, provides a safe, supportive and confidential environment in which to explore issues that affect your quality of life. It could be that you have been struggling for some time and have now decided the time is right for you to make changes. You may have come to a cross roads and are not sure which direction to turn to, feeling low or an event has had an effect on you.
I am a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor. I use various therapeutic methods and approaches that will best support you and assist you in working through your issue. I also incorporate elements of CBT within my approach where necessary. . I work with individuals on a one-to-one basis, both short and long term depending on your needs.
I provide 1-1 counselling to individuals, and young people I am experienced in working with a number of issues including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, bereavement and loss (of any kind), lack of confidence, redundancy, relationship issues, divorce and separation, family issues, substance misuse (drug and alcohol) and many more.
Many clients find that it doesn't take too long before the benefits of counselling begin to ripple through their daily life. Client's tell me that just talking things through helps them to see their situation much clearer and they begin to naturally feel stronger and gain more clarity and understanding in making decisions that are right for them.
Changes can be brought about when we face our fears, identify feelings and ways of thinking, see problems in a different light and become aware of patterns that do not work for us.
For further details or If you have any questions, please feel free to either call or email me and I will reply as soon as possible.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
