About me

I have a warm and empathetic approach, and a wealth of experience working with adults, adolescents and children with a range of problems.

Forming strong therapeutic relationships is at the heart of my work, and I pride myself on being able to meet the unique needs of my clients in a way that suits them. I provide evidence-based practice and keep up-to-date with the latest research to ensure that I deliver the most appropriate and time-effective approach.

I am skilled in using a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach, as well as being able to draw upon other therapies, such as systemic therapy and psychodynamic therapy. In addition to being a fully qualified Clinical Psychologist, I have also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialetical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a wealth of experience of working within the NHS and the private sector providing assessments, therapy and consultancy to adults, children, families and organisations. Within the NHS, I have experience of working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist within a Community Learning Disabilities Team, a Children and Young People's Service, and a Health Psychology Service. Within my private practice, I have worked with individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of issues.

I have a degree in Psychology (BSc), a Masters degree in Occupational Psychology (MSc) and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy).

I am a chartered member of the British Psychological Society and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. This means that I have attained the highest level of training within Clinical Psychology, and uphold professional and ethical values of respect, competence, responsibility and integrity
