About me

Counselling is a support for you when things in life feel stuck or challenging. You might be struggling in your relationships, or find yourself in repeating patterns of behaviour which don't serve you. You want to be able to talk this out with a trained professional, who can explore it with you and help identify what might be going on.

Anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity challenges and bereavement are some of the areas I can provide support with.

I see clients for individual counselling face to face in Elgin, Moray.  I also work with clients online and by telephone.

Get in touch and we can arrange a brief initial call or video call to see if we are a good fit.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy (COSCA certified)

I have experience in working with adults. I have worked extensively with the some of the following:

  • Cancer

  • Loss of identity
  • Relationship loss/breakdown

I am undertaking further training in working with relationship diversity and clients in open and polyamorous relationships.

Further information

I currently work from two locations offering face to face sessions. One of these locations is accessible and the other is on the first floor with a flight of stairs.

I work with clients online and use Google Meet as a secure platform. Online working offers flexibility and has provided an excellent alternative for clients who would otherwise not have access to my services face to face.

I have worked for a Scottish Cancer charity since I completed my training and since 2023 have delivered these sessions remotely to clients living with cancer (and their families). These sessions delivered by phone have provided support to those who would otherwise struggle to attend sessions in person.

Wheelchair user access info
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I work from premises on Wednesdays which are wheelchair accessible
