Katherine Cox, MA Psychotherapy and Counselling, BACP registered member
Hello, my name is Kat, I am a qualified psychotherapist and provide an open, empathetic and safe space to explore your experiences and difficulties. I have trained in Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling (MA) and additionally incorporate ideas involving the body, relational therapy and trauma based work.
I have worked with a wide range clients who have come to understand, explore and change their lives, whether this be within themselves, within a relationship or their professional life.
I have experience of working with:
- Panic Disorder
- Relationship Issues
- Domestic Violence
- Body Issues
- Confidence and Self-esteem Issues
- Personality Disorders
- Generalised Anxiety Disorder
- Learning Difficulties and Autism
- Substance Misuse
- Self-harm and Suicidal Thoughts
- Anger Issues
- Spiritual Issues
I work in a philosophical way that seeks to understand our relationships, ourselves and our position in the world.
I believe that through exploration, therapy can provide you with understanding and strength to change how you make decisions about your life, how you view yourself and positively influence your interactions with people.
I believe that change and transformation are possible through understanding our experiences, creating an openness whereby we can accept ourselves and by challenging our own assumptions about how we think life should be.
