Kate Sawallisch (Sa-wall-ish with emphasis on 'wall')
I am a Transactional Analysis and Integrative Psychotherapist and an IMAGO Relationship Therapist in training. I work with individuals and couples.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Association of Transactional Analysis (UKATA), IMAGO UK and abide by their Codes of Ethics.
Therapy begins with an exploration of how things are for you and what you'd like to change. The aim is discover your unique patterns of thinking, behaving and feeling and how these might be affecting you and your relationships. My role is to listen & provide support but also to challenge any self-limiting beliefs and values. The goal of the therapy is to help you make sense of your thoughts, feelings and behaviour and to integrate any past experiences into your present life that so that you can live more peacefully.
You and your partner will learn effective communication skills, how to resolve relational frustrations, and how to rekindle your passionate connection.
Creating a safe space between you is essential so that you can deal with every issue in a way that elicits closeness and prevents the accumulation of energy for fuelling the power struggle.
A powerful connecting skill you will learn is “crossing the bridge” to the world of the other. Learning and mastering the IMAGO “dialogue process” will enable you to create that essential safe space between you.
IMAGO dialogue has the power to transform not just your couple relationship but also the relationship with your children, other family members, friends and work colleagues.
