About me

I believe therapy is about building a non-judgemental and trusting relationship, where we can work together to make sense of your mental health symptoms and find ways to develop more awareness and ways to cope. Finding the right psychological approach is key to the smooth running of this process. Therefore, I utilise a range of psychological approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, narrative and systemic approaches. These will be adapted to suit your needs and individual presentation. My aim within therapy will be to be curious, empathetic and honest and draw on individual strengths and ultimately reducing distress and increasing wellbeing.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have over 10 years of experience within mental health settings in the NHS and private settings, qualifying as a clinical psychologist in 2018. Throughout my training I held positions with various NHS settings with adults, children, people with learning disabilities. Therefore, I have extensive experience of modifying approaches to fit these groups of individuals.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.


Health and Care Professions Council

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
