About me

There might be many reasons why you are considering psychological therapy. I understand that it might be quite frightening, maybe it seems not yet necessary or it feels like it is too late to change. It is already a big step that you have decided to take a look here. This also indicates it's the right time.

Thank you for visiting my profile.

Working with people is my biggest passion. But seeing my clients feeling better is the best reward. I am here to guide you through the therapeutic journey...

My practice as clinical and counselling psychologist is informed by theories developed in clinical psychology, psychopathology, developmental and cognitive psychology, sexology, psychology of addictions, neuropsychology.

Through continues learning activities I widen my abilities to use techniques offered by various therapeutic models. I find systemic ideas, ACT and CBT methods useful in helping my clients to bring new solutions. I use also intercultural therapy, usually while working with couples and families. I believe that all approaches aim to help the client to gain better understanding about the sources and meaning of the problematic situation, unwanted behaviours or troubling feelings and thoughts. It is however the relationship developed with the therapist that enables positive experience and introduces helpful solutions.

I have been working in therapeutic settings for over 10 years. I offer non-judgemental and safe space to explore and invite alternative narratives and exercising the change. That wouldn’t be possible without two-way communication and I am always willing to share my thoughts and I am happy to hear the feedback. There are no wrong or right answers.

I believe that there is always a way to improve our well-being and put our mind at rest.  I feel privileged to be part of my clients’ therapeutic journey. And every journey is different and I am always inspired by my clients’ capacity and creativity in achieving their goals. It is an honour to participate in the process of embracing new perspectives and guide my clients through unfamiliar and alternative paths.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed Master degree in clinical psychology, after presenting dissertation and research project indentifying the impact of employment on quality of life people with schizophrenia. After qualifying I worked in social services where I become Specialist Family Resilience Practitioner.

My further training comes from Poland and United Kingdom, where I trained in Systemic Family Psychotherapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Crisis Intervention.

I also completed additional workshops in Indonesia, supporting my work with methods used by Mindfulness, Ayurveda and Hypnotherapy.

I am registered with Health and Care Professions Council.

I am also member of Association of Family Therapy and British Psychology Society.

In London I worked organising community support for people with learning disabilities, elderly and those with dementia. I then specialised in managing rehabilitation packages for people affected by traumatic brain injury and neurological conditions.

Currently I work in private practice and in NHS running psychological service for those with mental health problems.
