About me
As a BACP registered counsellor/therapist, I approach my work with families, couples, women, men, and youth with over five years of experience in mentoring and life coaching.
My journey has involved assisting clients facing diverse challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, parenting dilemmas, career obstacles, OCD, ADHD, as well as those who have endured physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My therapeutic approach is characterised by warmth and interactivity. I deeply believe in treating each individual with the utmost respect, sensitivity, and compassion, rejecting any stigmatising labels. In my practice, Personal Centered Counselling takes precedence, empowering clients to lead the way in their journey towards self-realisation. This approach is non-directive, emphasising active listening, reflection, and creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can freely explore their emotions and thoughts.
Additionally, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) forms a significant part of my practice. It operates on the premise that thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and actions are interconnected, and negative patterns can trap individuals in a cycle of distress. Through CBT, I assist clients in breaking down overwhelming problems into manageable parts, offering practical strategies to foster positive change in their daily lives. Our sessions will concentrate on addressing current challenges and developing practical solutions, rather than dwelling on past issues. I tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to align with your unique needs and circumstances, supporting you as you embark on the journey towards a more fulfilling and contented life.If you're ready.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and establishing a comfortable and safe environment for you to share your thoughts and feelings. This initial session is offered at a reduced rate to give you the opportunity to determine if my approach aligns with your needs and expectations.
During this session, I will ask you to complete a brief assessment to better understand your background, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve through counselling. This helps me tailor our sessions to your specific needs and ensures that we can work effectively together towards your goals.
We will discuss your concerns, what has brought you to counselling, and any previous experiences you have had with therapy. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the counselling process, my therapeutic approach, and what you can expect from our work together.
My aim is to make you feel heard and understood from the very beginning, setting a foundation of trust and collaboration. By the end of the session, we will have a clearer idea of how we can move forward together to address your concerns and support your journey towards well-being and personal growth.
