About me

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor, registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I follow BACP ethical guidelines to ensure confidentiality and professional service. I have regular clinical supervision and undertake regular professional development.

How I work

I work collaboratively with clients.

I hope to support you in exploring your feelings and thoughts without the fear of judgement or rejection.

I believe that by providing a supportive therapeutic environment I can help you to find your own resources and ways to move forward in difficult times.

I strive to help you to know yourself better and to accept yourself for who you are.

I believe that everyone is a unique and valuable individual with a capacity and potential for personal growth and positive change. My aim is to offer you an environment where this growth and change can happen.

I hope that my way of working will help you feel heard, understood and valued, rather than offering advice and ready-made solutions.

I could help you to understand how your unique life experiences have shaped you, what patterns you have created based on those experiences and how it all relates to your present challenges.

We may also uncover and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns that may be preventing you from living a fulfilled life.

This process may take time and at times may not be an easy journey, but I hope that it will ultimately facilitate internal change that will allow you to feel more in charge of your own life.

I am able to incorporate different therapeutic methods and draw from various theories. I will tailor our sessions to meet your individual needs.

It is important that you feel comfortable with the therapist so please get in touch with me to arrange an initial appointment where we will be able to explore how we may work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, as well as BSc in Psychology and MSc in Clinical Child Psychology. I regularly attend additional courses to further develop my counselling practice. I speak Polish, English and have a good understanding of Spanish.

Apart from working in private practice, I also have worked in Primary and Secondary schools (through YMCA) and for a local charity based in Cambridge called Cogwheel Trust. In the past, I have worked with troubled young people in a youth hostel and volunteered for Cruse Bereavement Care.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
