About me
Opening up to a stranger can be a daunting experience. However please find comfort in knowing that sometimes it can be easier to speak to a stranger about life’s challenges. This can ease any burden that you may be experiencing. I specialise in person-centred therapy and offer a warm and relaxed counselling experience working at a pace that feels comfortable. Helping you feel more at ease during a time when you may feel most vulnerable. You’ll be accepted and valued just as you are, no matter what you are going through. I will empower you so you can feel better equipped to manage difficulties leading to higher levels of self-esteem.
You may be searching here for many different reasons. You may feel like your head is too busy, you are overwhelmed, lost or stuck. Whatever the reason I am here to go on that journey with you. I offer a diverse range of therapeutic experiences, helping individuals navigate stress, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression and loneliness to name a few.
Training, qualifications & experience
I specialise in Person-centred therapy achieving a BSc undergraduate degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. The Person-centred approach can help people see things in a new way, understand their feelings about certain events and notice things they might not have recognised before. It can build self-awareness, encourage independence, and boost confidence. We can explore the topics that you would like to and together identify a way forward. This can be one step at a time, whatever is manageable for you.
I have trained in various topics including mental health first aid, anxiety and depression to name a few. I have Access to NI clearance and registration with the ICO for greater protection on GDPR and data protection. Fully insured and regularly take part in clinical supervision to ensure safe practice.
Therefore my degree-level education, BACP registration and dedication to ongoing professional development provide me with a solid foundation to effectively support you. Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
