About me
Are you experiencing the struggles of life? Feeling lost, anxious or sad? Do you need someone to understand how it is for you? When you talk to people in your circle, does the thought '...but you don't understand...' come to your mind? How would it feel to be understood?
When you step into my room, you are stepping into a calm, comfortable space. Here you have the opportunity to look again at what is concerning you. Giving you some time, some thoughtful understanding and empathy; you now have someone by your side, as you consider what is happening for you.
What is bringing you to counselling? Something uncomfortable? Is anxiety causing you difficulty with daily living? Do you find yourself persistently in a low mood? Something is making life uncomfortable for you and you wish to give it some attention and move to a place of more ease.
The thought of meeting with a counsellor can feel like stepping into the unknown. The 'not knowing' what to expect, in itself, can bring up uncomfortable feelings. I respect you for taking this step. This is a step towards greater understanding and more self assurance.
Counselling, in essence, is a space for you to explore your issues at your own pace and find answers which work best for you. You have the opportunity to look at your concerns within a trusted and secure relationship. A relationship committed to supporting you.
If you feel your life is compromised through anxiety , not feeling good enough, low mood; if you feel it is time to give these feelings some attention; if you feel emotional and psychological support is a way forward for you, then I invite you to get in touch.
You can contact me by email or phone and I will get back to you. We can arrange an introductory phone call, or, if you prefer, book our first meeting.
I am a member of the NCPS and follow the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
