About me

Hello, I'm Karena, and I'm here to help you strengthen and nurture your relationship with yourself and those around you.

I understand seeking help can feel intimidating, but I'm committed to making the process as smooth and comfortable as possible. I will listen without judgment or bias when you share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I aim to offer you a warm, supportive environment where you can feel truly heard and understood.

We all face challenges every day. Whether you're dealing with communication issues, trust concerns, life transitions, or simply struggling to connect on a deeper level, I'm here to help you navigate these challenges. I aim to provide a welcoming space where you can explore your relationships and work towards a stronger, more fulfilling connection.

I wholeheartedly welcome couples from the LGBTQ+ community. I understand that LGBTQ+ relationships can face distinct challenges, and I am here to offer a safe, affirming space where you can discuss your unique experiences and concerns without fear of judgment. My approach is inclusive and supportive, ensuring that your relationship is treated with the respect and understanding it deserves.

As a counsellor, I empower clients to rediscover the neglected aspects of their relationship, find inner peace, and build resilience using a person-centred approach. I will focus on developing your inner strength and self-trust. This approach can help you positively change your relationship and improve your connections with others.

I'm passionate about helping individuals and couples who feel lost or uncertain about how to begin the healing process. Together, we will explore your needs and desires, helping you move towards a more fulfilled life.

If you're ready to take the first step towards creating positive change in your life, please don't hesitate to contact me today.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
