About me
Hi, I’m Karena
I know that reaching out for support can feel a bit overwhelming, but you don’t have to figure things out on your own. I’m here to offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you can talk freely, without any pressure or judgment.
Perhaps you're feeling anxious, stuck, or just finding it hard to cope. Maybe your relationship is going through a tough time, and you're not sure how to fix it. Whether you're coming on your own or as a couple, I’ll meet you with empathy, care, and a genuine desire to help.
I work with all kinds of relationship challenges — from communication problems and feeling disconnected, to navigating big life changes together. It’s not about taking sides or finding blame, but about understanding what’s going on and working together to make things feel better.
I warmly welcome LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, and I aim to create a space where you can be completely yourself.
If you're not sure where to start, we'll take it slow, one step at a time.

Training, qualifications & experience
Since qualifying in 2020, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of people through various organisations, including The GreenOak Foundation. My experience spans both the voluntary and educational sectors, where I’ve supported individuals through a variety of emotional and personal challenges — from anxiety and low self-worth to family issues, grief, and major life transitions.
Over time, I developed a strong interest in relationship work and have since gained extensive experience working with couples.
No matter who I’m working with, my focus is always on creating a safe, warm environment where people can explore what’s going on for them and move towards greater understanding, connection, and emotional well-being.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
