About me

My name is Karen Williams I am an integrative counsellor who believes everyone has the right to lead a happy life. I also believe that this is achievable if a person is given the appropriate environment to learn about themselves and how to deal with life’s challenging circumstances. Through genuine inquiry and exploring your emotion being together we can rebuild a new view to life.  A safe environment being a crucial factor in how effective any therapy can be so it is this I hold with greatest value.

I have great faith in human emotional strength and I am always humbled to work with people to achieve a supporting therapy session.

I have recently moved and my main counselling address is in Porthcawl however I am still able to consider alternatives locations, if this is not suitable (at additional cost)

Training, qualifications & experience

I commenced my studies in 2006 when I attended an introduction to counselling in Bridgend College.  I gained life's experiences as a working mum, a Samaritan, a foster mum and a volunteer counsellor with Ty Elis counselling in Porthcawl. I have a diploma in therapeutic counselling and believe in continuous learning through experience and reflection. I believe everyone has unique experiences and being an integrative counsellor helps me be flexible in my counselling approach.
