About me

Hello, I'm Karen. I’m here to help if you are finding life tough at the moment. Perhaps you feel scared, anxious and fed up? Maybe all those worries and 'what ifs' racing around your mind are keeping you awake at night or leaving you feeling overwhelmed? Perhaps there are things you want to do in life but you can't because they feel too scary? Sometimes life can feel like an uphill struggle and we can feel stuck. Through sharing your worries and concerns with me I can help you to break free from your anxiety and start living a better, happier and more enjoyable life. I am a clinical psychologist and online therapist offering therapy in the UK via webcam, instant messaging and email that helps you overcome your fears and feel alive again. Facing your fears is tough. I'm here to help you do it. And I'm here to help you change your life for the better - to put you in control so YOU can choose how you live your life, not your anxiety.

My approach to therapy
We all need a little help at times, as being human is difficult! My approach to therapy is to give you what you need at this time in your life and is informed by my training as a clinical psychologist. We can think together about how I can best support you to overcome your fears and live a better life. Training as a clinical psychologist has given me the advantage of being able to draw on a variety of approaches to therapy than can help people make changes that make a real difference, such as:

- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Solution Focused Therapy (SFT)
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)

I have a diploma in online counselling, which has taught me how to help people using technology. I am now very passionate about working as an online therapist and very much enjoy seeing the benefits of working with people via webcam, instant messaging and email.
