About me

At times do you feel overwhelmed by what life throws at you? Is stress making you unable to make decisions? Are you a person who rebukes themselves for making a wrong decision? Have you noticed that patterns in your life are continually repeating themselves? By becoming aware of these cycles of repetition can lead you to being empowered in your life, taking away the fear of being embarrassed or shamed. I can help help you look at making changes and find a way that is customised to support and establish a way forward for you.

In our lives we may find that we are self-justifying ourselves from criticism, being afraid of being alone, hurt or your partner swamping you as a person. By learning how to conquer your fears can lead to growth and begin to enjoy life again.

Training, qualifications & experience

L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

UKATA TA101

CRUSE Training

Counselling Children and Young People

Online and Telephone Counselling

I was previously an IT teacher within a secure environment working with people with disaffected backgrounds. This I believe has helped me to develop skills that I now use in my counselling work.  I work with a non judgement way allowing for my client and I to build a good working relationship that is safe place for them to talk openly.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
