About me

DBS checked

Choosing the right counsellor for you is an important first step on the pathway to a happier future whether face to face sessions, online or telephone.

If you are feeling Anxious, stressed, overwhelmed, sad, depressed, lost or confused, fed up and want to gain back control of your life, then you are ready for change, ready to become the happier person you deserve to be.

Whether working on a personal level, with family issues or work related stress, no problem is too small or too large.

Within my therapy sessions I offer warmth, understanding and non judgemental acceptance and support. I am a fully Qualified and Insured Advanced Counsellor/Psychotherapist, Hypnotherapist and Mindfulness Coach working from home offering online or telephone appointments. Home visits can be arranged if appropriate.

I offer an integrated form of therapy, as we are all different and view the world in our own unique way. One therapy does not suit all, so being trained in all the major theories enables me to pick and choose the right model or models to suit your individual needs. All therapy is individually tailored to fit each client. I am trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Person Centred, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis and Behavioural therapies such as CBT, MBCT and REBT.

I also offer coaching in Mindfulness, helping you to stay calm and focus on what is happening here and now instead of looking to the past or future.

I offer a safe and confidential environment where my aim is for you to feel valued and safe,  enabling you to explore the issues that are troubling you in your own time and to work together to help you find self acceptance and a happier future.

I offer counselling to adults and teenagers on a one to one basis.  I am also able to offer an 8 week mindfulness program, a scientifically proven way to deal with depression, stress, anxiety etc.

I am passionate about helping people to live happier lives and reach their full potential and find my work incredibly rewarding. Together we can work through your concerns, at your own pace, making sense of your thoughts and feelings to help you move forwards and resolve those issues that are holding you back.

Whether it's anxiety, anger management, bereavement, depression, relationship issues, generalised anxiety disorder, or help with addictions we can work at your own pace.

Addictions, abuse, separation, family issues, divorce, eating disorders and self-harm can all be worked through in this safe environment. Helping you to gain an understanding of your behaviour is the first step towards positive change.

All sessions and their content remain completely confidential, together we can look at underlying causes and work at your own pace to address issues in a calm and comfortable, completely supportive environment.

I see clients of all ages who want to change unhelpful behaviours,  become more confident and relaxed.

Further information

Online and telephone sessions available. The advantages of online counselling are that there is no travelling time or costs for clients and we can be more flexible with session times to suit you as not restricted to clinic hours. Online counselling has been proven to be just as successful as face to face sessions.

By offering an Integrated approach I can blend the different types of theories to form an individual treatment plan to suit each client. We are all individuals with our own unique set of issues and one approach does not suit all.

I always offer the core conditions for therapy, genuineness, unconditional positive regard and empathy.
