About me

I am a fully qualified, skilled and experienced BACP accredited counsellor and have worked in the caring profession for many years offering counselling, supervision and life- coaching.

I  run a safe, confidential and relaxed private practice in Gorseinon and Swansea City centre, and both are easily accessible for individuals commuting to and from areas in and around Swansea, Gorseinon and Llanelli. I am highly experienced in anxiety issues and stress management, especially work related stress. I have successfully supported many individuals in overcoming their anxiety and assisted many in developing coping strategies to manage their stress symptoms

.I have worked in a substance misuse agency where I helped individuals, young and old with a diverse range of problems besides addiction, such as anger issues, anxiety, low confidence, poor self-esteem, bereavement, depression, abuse and trauma.

I originally qualified as a Person-Centred Counsellor and since then I have continued on a regular basis, to enhance my skills and experience by regularly undergoing further training.

By integrating other approaches and techniques into my practice, I can be sure that the way I work with you will suit your needs. This could be to work through any problems you may have, or finding direction in your life on a personal or professional level.

I aim to offer a place where you will feel safe, accepted and not judged and this can create the environment for you to draw upon your own resources, find your own solutions and see things more clearly.

My past experience in the substance misuse field allowed me the opportunity over the years to recognise the benefits of complementary therapies and how they enhance the physical and emotional wellbeing of many people. This inspired and motivated me into undergoing training in this field and I  invite you to look at my website for a full list of what complementary therapies I can offer.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
