About me
Do you feel stuck or frustrated in your life? Overwhelmed by feelings of anxiety, self-doubt, or struggling with a relationship? Perhaps you experience episodes of low mood that are affecting you and your family.
It is often hard for others to understand how we experience life, and this can lead to feelings of isolation and despair. The evidence suggests that finding a therapist you feel able to talk to and understood by is key to a successful therapeutic experience. I support my clients to explore their problems and worries in a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative way, leading to improved mental health and wellbeing.
I am an integrative therapist supporting both individuals and couples to work through the challenges they face in life. We focus on understanding how past experience can impact daily life and relationships. Applying two different styles of counselling can help us to identify unhelpful thinking styles, repeating patterns of behaviour, and the unconscious processes that contribute to and maintain emotional dysregulation and relationship difficulties. Through this exploration we can together find ways of increasing your self-awareness, developing greater innner strength, and furthering your personal growth and emotional wellbeing.
New beginnings start with the first step, and I understand how difficult this can be. I can offer an introductory assessment session in which we can identify your therapeutic goals and develop an agreement of how we will proceed should you decide to continue with therapy.
I am fully qualified to offer integrative therapeutic counselling using person-centred and psychodynamic approaches. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I work with individuals of any age, and I have extensive experience of working with children and young people. I also offer couples therapy.
I am currently offering in-person sessions from my home, online sessions via Google Meet, walk and talk, and telephone sessions.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
