Dartington Hall Estate
Life can be challenging at times and sometimes we need a little help. It can be useful to have a space to talk and be heard by someone outside of your family and friends. A fully confidential space, where you can feel safe to really explore, reflect and find a way through.
Our first step is to arrange an intitial face to face meeting where we can talk through any questions that you may have. This will give you an idea of how it would be to work together. This intial consultation is free.
I offer a warm and supportive environment. My aim is to meet what you are bringing with compassion. I am an empathic and intuitive therapist, and I work from a mindfulness based approach that focusses on awareness as a tool for healing. Core Process Psychotherapy is about allowing and deepening into our present experience and seeing how our past conditioning has affected us now.
I see clients in my private practice in Dartington, and one day a week in central Exeter. Sessions are tailored to suit individual needs, and I am available for daytime and evening sessions.
I have been in practice for 4 years. I have also been practising separately as a craniosacral therapist for many years, which lends itself to a deep understanding of how shock and trauma is held in the body.
I have worked with anxiety and panic attacks, bereavement, shock and trauma, domestic and sexual abuse, relationship issues, aging, and other life transitions.
I am accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).I am also a registered member of the Cranioscral Association (CSTA).
I abide by the code of ethics of the above professional bodies and I am fully insured.
Related work background
I have worked for mental health charities, and as a case coordinator in a child contact centre.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Masters Degree in Core Process Psychotherapy from the Karuna Institute and University of Middlesex.

I regularly undertake additional training, which has included somatic experiencing (trauma resolution), suicidal ideation, domestic abuse, child protection, mindfulness, sand tray, the impact of boarding schools, and eco-therapy.
