About me
I am a fully qualified therapist working in an integrative way. I am a member of the British Association for counselling and psychotherapy (BACP).
I like to make a difference to peoples lives allowing clients to feel safe and that of not being judged, building of trust and gaining empowerment.
I have worked in vast areas including counselling children at place 2 be within a primary school setting, children aged 5-11 years old using play therapy.
I have trained in sexual and domestic abuse. I developed knowledge and skills in this area through training with the rape and sexual abuse counselling centre over the past 2 years. I have completed specialist training with Arch in sexual abuse and harbour in domestic abuse.
I also have an understanding of such through my own individual experiences, I feel this allows me to offer deep empathy and acknowledgement of those feelings and emotions that stem from such.
I have worked as a statutory advocate providing a voice to a variety of vulnerable adults including those with severe mental illness extending to those sectioned under the mental health act, diagnosed learning disabilities, dementia and autism. I have extensive experience with working with adults and children with autism as I worked for the autistic society and have an adult son with autism.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
