About us

Finding a therapist is easy, finding the right therapist for you begins with you trusting your instincts.

In my comfortable therapy room based in Woking town centre, just 25 minutes by direct train from London Waterloo, I provide a non-judgemental, confidential and supportive space to individuals and couples, where you can safely explore and make sense of often difficult and confusing experiences, thoughts, behaviours and emotions. As a person-centred counsellor I believe that we all instinctively know what is best for ourselves. I aim to support you in this very personal process of exploration and growth. I work with you to help you to increase your self-awareness, change unhelpful patterns and behaviours and to regain control and achieve the life you want.

There are many reasons that people come for counselling and psychotherapy, one of the fundamental reasons is because they no longer want to feel the way they have been feeling.  I will not give you advice or solve problems for you. I will listen to your story and experiences and we work together to help make sense of your experiences and understand yourself better so you can identify, break and change any unhelpful patterns in your life.

I believe it’s the quality of the relationship between client and counsellor which provides the basis for successful therapy so it is important you feel comfortable with your therapist. Call or email me to book a free, no obligation 15 minute telephone consultation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.

Individual session charges are on a sliding scale that relate to your income and they generally cost between £65.00 and £80.00 per session. If you are on limited finances, we can talk about this during our initial 15 minute telephone consultation and discuss an amount you could comfortably commit to on a weekly basis, allowing you to focus on your goal of therapy.
I do offer some concessions and I offer a discounted rate if you pay for 6 sessions in advance.

I offer a discounted rate to Key Workers, Emergency Services/Armed Forces personnel and their families. I also offer a discounted rate to students.

48 hours notice is required to change or cancel an appointment or full payment is due.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
