About me

Welcome to my site, Building Bridges Counselling and Psychotherapy.  I am an experienced and fully qualified Registered and Accredited member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and as such I abide by the BACP’s ethical codes of practice. This includes regular supervision and on-going training.

I know and understand how difficult it is to take that first step when you recognise that you need help and it takes courage to talk to someone about your concerns for the first time. However, I will listen empathically and non-judgmentally to your issues and encourage, support and explore the processes and patterns of your life, in a safe, friendly and confidential environment.  I will work with you on a regular day and time to suit your needs, using different models of counselling and other additional skills listed on my site, to enable positive changes to evolve in your life.

My knowledge and experience in short-term and long term work includes counselling clients with concerns regarding Addictions, Anger Management, Anxiety and Depression, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME, Health Related issues, General Anxiety Disorders, Loss, Obsessions, Panic Disorders, Phobias, PTSD, Relationships issues (personal and work), Low Self-esteem and Confidence, Self-harm, Sexual abuse and Trauma.

Other areas of counselling include:

In addition to my Counselling and Hypnotherapy skills and experience, I have introduced Modern Energy Tapping techniques to my work models to enhance the therapeutic counselling process.

As a Modern Energy Tapping Professional, I am aware that this model is now recognised for helping in many areas of your life, such as anxiety and depression and including many of the concerns listed below. It can restore your awareness and trust in the natural healing abilities of your mind and body. This in turn gives you empowerment to be in control of your negative thoughts and feelings thus enabling positive changes to evolve over a short period of time.
