Julie Wilkinson MBACP
I am an experienced counsellor working with adults and teenagers. I see clients in Tonbridge for up to an hour long appointments in the day or early evening. There is street parking and it is walking distance from the station. I offer an initial assessment session for around 45 mins for £20 and then all subsequent sessions are £40.
Depression, anxiety, work, sadness, family, relationships, health, childhood, low self-esteem, low confidence, anger, abuse, stress, life in general - all reasons that have brought people to see me. Some things are obvious and known about by clients, some are not known or hidden.
The thought of counselling, of opening up to a stranger can be scary and making that call or sending that email can be really hard. Once you've taken that step you will be in a supportive therapeutic relationship. As counsellor I create a safe, non-judgemental, caring relationship in which you can explore what you feel you need to. I will meander gently with you, working in the here and now, or helping to understand what happened in the past. It might be emotional and challenging at times, but you set the speed and direction. Throughout this you will explore and understand any negative beliefs, damaging thoughts or emotional issues. You will gain self awareness and be empowered in your life.
