About me

Hi I’m Julie a BACP registered counsellor. Are you feeling low, anxious, stressed? Negative emotions can really impact our lives. Together we can put strategies in place to help reduce negative feelings & empower you to take control of your life.

My goal is to empower you with the tools, insights, and support needed to navigate life's complexities with confidence and clarity.

As a qualified counsellor, I've had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. I’ve worked with many clients with anxiety and depression and other life issues, helping them overcome these powerful negative feelings.

I have helped clients navigate life's challenges and cultivate meaningful connections. My approach is rooted in a deep respect for each person's unique perspective and a commitment to creating a safe, non-judgmental environment for exploration and discovery.

With a strong foundation in integrative and person centred therapeutic approaches, I work collaboratively with clients to identify and address areas of concern, whether that's managing stress, building resilience, or exploring relationships.

What sets me apart is my genuine passion for helping others and my dedication to ongoing learning and professional development. I'm committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in counselling, ensuring that you receive the most effective and compassionate support possible.

My role as a counsellor is to support and guide clients through these sessions. It is really important to have an introductory call to see if we are a right fit for each other. This call is free and no obligation so that you have the choice to choose a counsellor that meets your needs and requirements. This call also gives us a chance to get know each other.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
