About me

I am a passionate, accredited integrative psychotherapist. I believe that no one person is the same therefore my therapeutic approach will differ in order to meet each individual person where they are at in their life.

I offer a range of counselling services in the Cambridge area for adolescents and adults, providing therapeutic support in a safe environment to enable you to build sustainable skills and emotional resilience to live a better happier life.

Many people struggle daily with issues around depression, anxiety, low self esteem and self identity. Some of these issues are the result of a person experiencing life events such as divorce, trauma and loss, struggling to find their place in the world. I believe that early therapeutic intervention is key to help people succeed. By providing a safe environment for the person to process their feelings through talking and creative work, this helps build confidence and self esteem, enabling people to learn coping skills to be able to regulate their emotions which will provide emotional resilience and help them thrive.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have 15 years experience working mostly with children, teenagers and adults. I have extensive knowledge in play therapy, acceptance and comittment therapy, person centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and dialectical behavioural therapy. I will integrate different modalities and techniques in my sessions which can include talking, play, art and music.

Education and Experience
I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of East London.I obtained my Bachelor’s of Social Science(Psychology) Degree from the University of Natal Durban, South Africa.  I have a level 1 DBT certificate.

Accredited registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy No:110604

Before my training in psychotherapy I worked for several years in London with young disabled people who were at risk of social exclusion supporting them into training, education and employment, I have worked in many different therapeutic environments, ranging from a child and adolescent psychiatric hospital, private practice, schools, homeless shelters and outpatient counselling centres.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
