About me

I offer a quiet, comfortable, dedicated counselling space in North Leeds; a space to sit, think, be and feel.

I am a qualified and fully accredited therapist with 21 years experience of working in the public and private sector as a counsellor and arts therapist . I have worked with a wide range of client groups and learned how important it is to be flexible and to tailor my approach to suit individual needs.

What to expect

An initial session for us to think together about what you would like to gain from counselling and how I might help you achieve it. I will not judge you or tell you what you should do. If I think that you would benefit from a different service I will say so and redirect you if I can. If we agree to continue with counselling we will decide together the number of sessions as we proceed.

My philosophy

I believe that anyone seeking counselling needs, above all, to feel heard and accepted. A large part of my job is to create the right environment for thoughtful listening to take place. Then the work of exploration, healing, and change can begin.

Whatever your reason for coming to counselling I aim to work with you towards a better understanding of what may be troubling you and, ultimately enable you to discover safe ways of easing distress.
