Julie Hughes Adv. Dip. Therapeutic Counselling
Hi, my name is Julie.
I am an experienced integrative counsellor which means that I am able to tailor my skills and knowledge for you and your needs. My background is Person Centered, CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) is also a model that I use frequently with clients. It works well as it challenges the way people think and behave.
My aim is to offer a safe and confidential space in order for you to explore your concerns, giving you the opportunity to talk about what troubles you and to be listened to in a way which assists you to understand yourself better.
I offer one to one counselling and couple counselling. I treat all age groups.
My work as a Counsellor involves building a strong rapport with clients based on high levels of trust and empathy. A large area of my work includes meeting and motivating the needs of my client. I believe that the process of counselling helps a client to see things more clearly, possibly from a different view-point. This can enable the client to focus on feelings, experience or behaviour, with a goal to facilitating positive change.
The first step will be to either give me a call or send me an email so we can arrange your free first session or telephone consultation. During our first session together, we can look at what you feel is right for you, review it as we go along and get you back to achieving your life goals. We would normally arrange to meet once a week, but it will be entirely up to you and what suits you best.
