To feel less stress and anxiety, improve your relationships, gain control of addictions and OCD, improve your sleep pattern, your lifestyle, and raise your feelings of well being and feel good factor.

Together we can tackle the thoughts and feelings going round in your head, helping you to change the way that you think, and to break free from the cycles which are keeping you stuck, affecting your relationships, making you feel unhappy, impacting on your health and stopping you from living your life to the full.

I have worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds with many different problems and can help you feel relaxed, comfortable and able to share your thoughts and feelings. Providing you with the space to tell your story in a safe, non judgemental atmosphere, gently helping you to take your first step towards change and a better life.

I am a fully qualified and experienced Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor, have a Masters degree in counselling and psychotherapy, a member of the British Association for counsellors and psychotherapists, and abide by their code of ethics. I also attend regular supervision.

The therapy I provide promotes clarity and understanding of your problems, creating the opportunity to change underlying patterns of negative thinking and emotional responses which create anxiety, relationship issues, depression, stress, addiction and stop you from living your life to the full. Helping you bring about changes in your life, to break free of old patterns of relationships, behaviors, emotions and feelings which are keeping you stuck. Empowering you to  move forward in your life and relationships, helping you to find your true self and live your life to the full.

Counselling helps you build stronger relationships, improve your communication skills, and identify and clarify your goals in life. To be more at ease with the past without feelings of guilt, anger and resentment, more confident about the future without feelings of panic and fear, and allowing you to enjoy the here and now, living life to the full in the present moment. Imagine having the tools to handle life’s challenges with wisdom and skill, counselling helps transform your inner world to a place of wholeness and ease, to find peace in the middle of a frantic world.

The world around us seems increasingly volatile and unreliable. So it’s vital to develop durable psychological resilience the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or sources of stress — such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems, or workplace and financial stressors. It means “bouncing back” from difficult experiences, our inner core remains unshaken no matter what life throws at us, forming our emotional resilience - which is itself the foundation of lasting well-being in a changing world.

I have always worked in the caring profession, have a keen interest in helping people and consider myself to be a 'people person'. I have an open, honest and compassionate approach to my work, providing the time and space to explore you thoughts and feelings, at you own pace, in a safe, non- judgmental environment.  I have a down to earth sensible manner and our first meeting will not commit you to further sessions unless you feel it is right for you.  Together we can work towards your personal goals, enabling you to access your inner resources, promoting empowerment towards the resolution of personal difficulties and problems.

I have taught 'An introduction to mindfulness and focused relaxation classes' and can introduce you to the benefits of mindfulness and mindful living, helping you to free yourself from habitual and automatic ways of thinking and reacting, enabling you to instead, bring your focus to the here and now and mindfully respond to the present moment in more skillful ways. This helps individuals tackle problems such as anxiety, stress, depression, addiction, relationship issues and weight control.

I provide a personal, fully confidential service in a relaxed comfortable atmosphere, with free and easy parking, and am currently working in Wickford, I also provide home visits within the comfort of your home.

I hold an up to date CRB enhanced disclosure, and also public liability insurance.
