I am an experienced and fully qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor offering online sessions via Zoom and telephone. I have a extensive experience and a deep understanding in mental health disorders, especially generalised anxiety disorders and depression, trauma, addictions - substance misuse and PTSD.
Do you find that you are not feeling yourself within a relationship, or struggle to overcome problems that may arise between you and others? Perhaps you have difficulty sustaining a relationship or have become codependent on your partner? Or do you feel anxious by the thought of ending relationships that no longer work for you?
I also have a wealth of experience in helping people through domestic abuse, attachment issues and unhealthy relationships.
Generalised anxiety disorders can present itself in many ways like OCD, phobias, living in fear of the unknown. Have you noticed or experienced how Depression links in with anxiety? Depression and anxiety can rob you of confidence, happiness and your goals. I believe in talking therapy it give you the opportunity to explore what is troubling you and, why. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) based counselling techniques can help you to improve stressful situations and emotional regulation managing your emotions. I combine psycho-education learning about the mind within our sessions, helping you to understand why you behave in certain ways, help you to understand your emotions that causes the different types of mental health difficulties.
I understand that taken the first step towards counselling can be an apprehensive time. To reassure you the first session will be a conversation around your needs. It gives you the opportunity to get to know me and discuss your problems.

Training, qualifications & experience
- I have a PgDip Integrative Relational Counselling Therapist.
- I have 15 years experience in Domestic Abuse field.
- I am a therapist for a charitable organisation that cover a wide range of psychological problems.
- I am a member of the professional body BACP.
- I am NVR trained (Non Violent Resistance).
I have worked within the field of domestic abuse for 15 years for a voluntary organisation and I have knowledge and experience working with child to adult abuse.
I am trained in nonviolent resistance (NVR) therapy that helps build child parent relationships. I appreciate that abuse in any relationship is hard and painful to talk about, it often steeped in shame and guilt.
There maybe attachment problems that may need exploring which is often the underlying reason why some relationships are a struggle to form or maintain. That is why it is important we come to build a trusting working relationship that helps you feel safe and, confidant enough to be yourself without fear of judgment. Being open, non-judgmental and genuine are some of the qualities I convey as a therapist.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
