Further information
I believe that a respectful therapeutic relationship recognises that a client is the expert on their life and their needs, but at certain times, it is valuable and helpful to seek counselling to receive additional support to improve insight and gain a deeper understanding.
Before qualifying as a counsellor, I worked for the NHS as a Trauma and Orthopaedic Nurse. Prior to this, I worked in marketing for a major retailer. Both of these careers have given me a broad understanding of difficult, stressful and life changing events that people often experience.
