Are you finding it hard to deal with your emotions, are you feeling depressed, stress, anxiety. It can be hard to know how you are feeling or why and I offer a caring, safe and confidential space for you to talk through the issues affecting you, to give you an opportunity to feel heard and supported.
My practice offers:
- Short or long term individual therapy.
- A confidential service.
- A counsellor experienced in working with both adult individual male and female clients.
- Ages 18 years and over.
- Individuals and Couples.
Counselling provides a safe and supportive environment in which to talk through your thoughts and problems and reflect on past and present events with a knowledgeable, non-judgemental professional. It gives you a confidential place to explore and express your feelings. It encourages us to take a look at our current thoughts, feelings and behaviours that may be preventing us from moving forward. It helps us to find ways of changing these overwhelming emotions in a way that will take us to a safer and more secure place. It can provide an environment to understand and learn about ourselves so that we can take control of and responsibility for our lives.
How I work
As a counsellor I will listen and help you explore and make sense of your feelings, thoughts and behaviour. I will help you to identify patterns that have their roots in your past experiences. As counselling progresses I will help you to gain insights and work with me to find more helpful ways of coping with your problems and feelings.
Coming to counselling can often be seen as a journey and sometimes the first step is the hardest step. However, every journey starts with one step and maybe you have taken that first step today by looking at my profile.
Training, qualifications & experience
I undertook a five year training programme in Oxfordshire to become a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor & Psychotherapist
I worked in education for 15 years and in primary care (NHS).

Psychodynamic therapy offers an opportunity to talk through your concerns and difficulties with a trained therapist in confidence and at your own pace. It works from the belief that experiences in the past unconsciously affect how we feel and behave in the present.
CBT links our thought patterns to our behaviour and feelings.
EFT- Emotional Freedom Technique.
I have continued to learn and experience and update my way of working as a counsellor and I adapt different approaches, when appropriate, to the needs of my clients, seeing that everyone and their needs are different.
