About me

Currently only available for remote video appointments only.

Hello and welcome to my practice. I am a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist (British Psychological Society) and a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Practitioner Psychologist. I am also an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I have been trained to a Doctorate level in a range of talking therapies - including Cognitive-Behavioural therapy (CBT), Third wave CBT including Acceptance and Commitment therapy and Mindfulness and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). This means that I am able to draw on a wide range of psychological therapies and models to fit your own unique circumstances and experiences.

I qualified in 2003 and since this time I have worked both within the NHS and the private sector. I set up my own private practice a number of years ago. I focus on building a safe and collaborative relationship in which you can feel safe to talk freely about what is troubling you. In this way, you can both grow and make changes- enabling you to move forward and meet your therapeutic goals.

I have a wealth of experience in helping adults struggling with a range of difficulties including stress, anxiety, low mood, depression, relationship difficulties, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, work related issues, abuse, trauma, eating disorders and low self-esteem. However, if the issues you are faced with is not on this list please don't worry- this list is by no means exclusive!

I am aware that people can feel very anxious when coming for their first session- and with this in mind, I do everything that I can to put you at your ease. However, the majority of people comment that the time passes very quickly during therapy - and it's time to go home before they know it.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
