About me

I am a psychotherapist and counsellor offering the support of therapy to both individuals and couples. I provide a confidential venue to meet and explore the issues which are causing unhappiness and preventing mutually fulfilling relationships.

Many people who consider having counselling are affected by events in their past which impact their adult lives in a way that they do not fully understand.  Counselling and psychotherapy is beneficial in helping individuals and couples to understand why experiences in their earlier lives adversely affect present day emotions and behaviours.

Working with people over the past twelve years has shown me that therapy can be life changing as people gain self awareness and use this knowledge to better understand and resolve their interpersonal difficulties

Training, qualifications & experience

I have always worked directly with individuals and groups, in both the public and private sector, and I am now a counsellor and psychotherapist in private practice.  I am also qualified to work as a supervisor with counsellors and psychotherapists. I gained a Distinction in my MSc dissertation and I am an Examiner on Viva Panels for a London based University.

I am practitioner in EMDR and other trauma techniques and work with clients affected by complex trauma.

Further information

I offer a 3-6 session model of therapy to couples, on a fortnightly basis, and often this is sufficient time to understand the dynamics of their relationship and offer strategies to improve communication and negotiation between different viewpoints. This can be extended if couples feel that they need more time to implement changes alongside the ongoing support of therapy. These couple sessions last for 75 minutes.

There are no parking restrictions or parking charges at the meeting venue and parking is freely available.
