About me
I am a confidential counselling therapist working in the New Malden, Surrey area. I offer a one-to-one counselling / therapy / coaching service to clients wishing to explore a range of life issues including health challenges, relationship difficulties and conflicts, bereavement and loss, depression, anxiety, loneliness, abuse, trauma and anxiety. I offer sessions on a short or long-term basis, as well as telephone and online counselling. Sessions are by appointment, and I can offer home visits in the area where appropriate. All referrals, including from Primary Care are welcome.
I have trained as a Psychosynthesis Counsellor and Therapist (Integrative and Transpersonal approach), as well as in Trauma Therapy and Coaching. I have Advanced Specialist training in Bereavement Counselling and am a Registered Member with BACP. I offer independent consultation, with a particular interest in the relationship between spirituality / religion and mental well-being.
During my career in the mental health field (including over 25 years in NHS Mental Health Services), I worked across the spectrum of mental health care and distress. I have in-depth experience of working with people of all ages and from many different cultures. I was a Visiting Lecturer at University level for many years, and I welcome inquiries from students who may be encountering difficulties during their studies. I also welcome clients from the pastoral care / mental health setting who feel they may benefit from supervision in this area.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
