Julia Bunch BAHons. P.G.C.E. DipCoun MBACP
I've been a counsellor in Redhill for ten years, addressing a broad range of issues. I've particularly had a lot of experience working with clients suffering depression or anxiety or with relationship difficulties.
I hope you will find counselling here to be a very positive experience. My approach is warm, sensitive and very understanding. I'd like you to always feel free to ask questions and let me know any worries or doubts you may have about counselling. You will find a safe, confidential space here to explore any thoughts that have been going round your head and any dilemmas you are struggling with. With regard to booking sessions, I offer a flexible approach, as I understand we all live busy and complicated lives.
My specialist field is working with clients with Autistic Spectrum issues and Aspergers Syndrome. This includes parents of children with Autistic Spectrum issues, siblings and spouses. I have many years of experience, understanding and knowledge of Autism and disability. I developed my knowledge through my work as a Portage teacher and developing a charity. I also set up and ran a programme of Applied Behavioural Analysis for my own son with Autism.
My previous career has included setting up and managing a charity offering emotional support to parents of children with disabilities. I've also been a careers advisor and a teacher within both mainstream and special needs settings. I was a school governor at a secondary school for students with severe learning disabilities.
More recently, I have been a counsellor for students at the Orpheus Centre (an inspiring Performing Arts College for students with disabilities), and at Epsom Hospital's Macmillan Centre.
My practice offers a quiet, comfortable room, a 5-10 minute walk from Redhill station and there is parking in the road. It is within easy access of Reigate, Dorking, Crawley, Godstone, Bletchingley, Nutfield, Merstham and Caterham.
Do drop me an email, a text or phone if you'd like to find out more or book an initial session.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
