About me

I am a qualified counsellor with an academic background in psychology and psychotherapy, having completed extensive studies in 2002. My training encompassed a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, psychodynamic psychotherapy, psychosomatic disorders and more.

I also achieved a counselling qualification in the UK and have gained experience working with Cruse and Cogwheel charities for the last 5 years, supporting individuals through various challenges

I provide a compassionate and tailored approach to support individuals through life’s difficulties. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, relationship issues,  personal growth or cultural adaptation I offer a safe and professional space to help you navigate your journey.

Training, qualifications & experience

Over the past five years, I have worked with Cruse, Cogwheel and Cambridge University. In my practice I draw on my psychology degree, earned over 20 years ago as well as my more recent BACP counselling qualification.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

I offer face-to-face sessions in Central Cambridge (parking is free) as well as online, with a range of daytime, evening, and Saturday slots available. My schedule fills up quickly, but I always do my best to accommodate individual needs - so please feel free to get in touch, and we can find a time that works for you.

I offer a free initial 30 minute call and provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore your concerns. With warmth, empathy, and genuine care, I listen attentively, creating a safe environment where you feel heard, valued, and understood.

My approach is integrative and tailored to your needs. Whether you’re looking to work toward a specific goal or simply need a space to be heard, I adapt my knowledge and techniques to support you. Together, we can explore challenges such as anxiety, low self-esteem, cultural adaptation, work issues, relationship challenges. My aim is to help you gain deeper self-understanding and find greater self-acceptance and ease in your life.

Each session, whether online or in person, lasts 50 minutes and it is typically scheduled at the same day and time each week. However for online sessions I can offer flexibility with the day and time to accommodate your schedule.
