About me

Hello there, I'm a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience of working with people who are in crisis or finding it difficult to cope. Experiencing major life events, adjusting to change, loss, or managing relationships can be very hard and seeking help is often the first brave step that a person takes for themselves. I am able to provide safe, compassionate care that will make a difference. It is important that the therapy is tailored to your needs, and we can have a free 15 minute telephone consultation to see if working together will be suitable to you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, having trained at the University of Liverpool -D.CLIN.PSYCHOL

I am trained in CBT, Mindfulness, EMDR and DBT amongst other interventions and approaches

I have experience of working with adults and young people (16-19) covering a range of difficulties, including (but not exclusively):
specific anxiety related issues - OCD, hoarding, panic attacks, tics
self esteem
adjustment to significant life events
PTSD (including complex PTSD)
issues with attachment and loss
other psychological trauma
relationship difficulties
anger and violence

I have worked in the NHS and privately for a number of years. My specialism is working with adults in the criminal justice system who have relational difficulties, addictions, psychosis and anger often whom have had early difficulties with attachment and trauma.
However, over the course of my career I have worked with a range of clients including young people with communication difficulties and anxiety, families requiring support to adjust to major life events, and people with phobias and PTSD.

I will respond to every enquiry. Some clients have reported that replies have gone to their junk mail box, so do please check if you have not had a reply within 24 hours. Thank you.
