About me

I am a senior accredited psychotherapist, trauma consultant and psychosexual therapist
(EMDR Consultant, COSRT senior accredited supervisor & therapist, UKCP registered).

I work in a psycho-neurologically informed integrative way; using psychodynamic, EMDR and cognitive behavioural therapy.

I am a trauma EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) Consultant and therapist;
this encourages normal, but accelerated, adaptive information processing, where bilateral procedures quickly help people overcome traumatic experiences.

I am a senior accredited UKCP & COSRT Supervisor of therapists. I provide supervision for psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR and psychosexual therapy. I am also STOPSO trained.

Training, qualifications & experience

MA (Counselling and psychotherapy), BSc (Hons) (Psychology), COSRT senior accredited therapist and accredited supervisor, UKCP registered, EMDR accredited consultant & therapist, Relate CC, Dip PST, Family Mediator (LSC accredited), PGC Supervision, PGC CBT, RN, RHV.

I have 30 years experience as a psychotherapist: an NHS counsellor, relationship counsellor, trauma consultant and psychosexual therapist.

All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.

UK Council for Psychotherapy

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
