About me

Hi

My name is Joy and I am a HCPC registered Music Therapist.

I have worked in education for nearly 30 years, working as a teacher and a Headteacher before retraining.  I now work through South Wales with groups and individuals, supporting their therapeutic aims and goals.  This can be helping with; anxiety, grief, trauma or developing communication skills.

What is music therapy?

Music therapy is the use of music to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of a group or individual. It employs a variety of activities, such as listening to melodies, playing an instrument, drumming, writing songs, and guided imagery.
