Josephine Waugh Reg MBACP Accredited
If you are looking for help and understanding with something which is causing you unhappiness or distress and you feel ready to do something about it, I can help you.
You may be anxious, depressed, bereaved, angry, stressed, confused, experiencing suicidal feelings, having relationship or family difficulties, lack confidence or self - esteem and any of these painful feelings alone can leave you feeling overwhelmed. I have experience of helping clients with this range of issues and more.
Counselling can empower you by helping you make sense of what is happening and enable you to make the changes you need to move forward, feeling more able to cope.
Counselling is a reflective process where you can share things which you may not want to talk about with your family and friends and it offers a safe space to explore your personal issues in your own time.
I am an experienced (BACP Registered and Accredited), compassionate and approachable counsellor and I provide counselling based on respect, trust and sensitivity.
I am passionate about the counselling process as I know it can help you on the path back to being yourself. I use a range of skills and theories to tailor counselling to your individual needs.
My background in Midwifery and experience in the NHS means that I have particular knowledge regarding childbirth and the often hidden distress which may accompany pregnancy, stillbirth, traumatic birth and transitions to parenthood.
I work with individuals of all ages at my practice in central Taunton.
Previously, I have worked as a School Counsellor with children in a Primary School and in two local Secondary Schools in Taunton.
Please get in touch by email or phone to arrange a free 45 minute session at my practice. In this session you can tell me what you are looking for from counselling and I can talk with you about how I work and how we can work together to improve your quality of life.
