About me

Hi, and thanks for landing on my page.

In a space that is warm and welcoming it is my priority to offer you somewhere to feel safe, heard and understood. In life you may experience people not listening properly, judging, shutting you down or telling you what it’s like for them when you just want them to hear what it’s like for you.

Counselling with me is the polar opposite of that, I will hear you without judgement, be open and accepting of you and I am committed to doing my best to understand what it is like for you. As well as Person Centred Counselling, I also teach Self-Hypnosis and Meditation for relaxation and managing anxiety, plus grounding and anchoring techniques to help regulate emotions.

I offer The Rewind Trauma Technique for reprocessing memories that trigger symptoms of post traumatic stress following one off traumatic experiences or build up from repeated trauma. If you have experienced trauma you will never be asked to re-tell the event, you can have closure without disclosure.

I offer a free initial telephone session, so do contact me. If you reach out at the weekend I will not reply until Monday, during the week I aim to reply same day.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
