About me
Are you struggling with depression, feeling anxious, scared, angry or exhausted? Perhaps you have low self-confidence, low-self esteem or are struggling with perfectionism? Maybe something happened in your life which has thrown you off course or hasn't been addressed, getting in the way and holding you back? Friends can be great support but often some professional help in a non-judgemental safe space is needed. Hi, I’m Dubby, an experienced BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), having worked in multiple NHS Talking Therapies services. My passion is to help people like you to overcome your issues and enjoy life.
I work with clients who are struggling with a range of mental health issues wiht a focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which provides evidence based techniques to allow you to gain control over your life. Initial sessions will see us investigate your issues, where they may have originated from, before building a plan that helps you get your life back.
My specialism is CBT, but I recognise everyone is an individual and I will adapt therapy to include other aspects of other therapies styles. With an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology, I can help you to progress to flourishing in life.
I believe our relationship will be a major contributor to successful therapy and it may, at times, be difficult but it can also be enjoyable. You'll find me empathetic, compassionate, kind and occasionally humorous, using evidence based techniques and a practical style. Please do contact me for a free telephone consultation.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at Kings College London in the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience where I gained a Dipolma in Cognitive and Behavioural Sciences. I also gained a PG Certificate in Advanced Practice in Psychological Wellbeing and prior to this, a MSc (distinction) in Applied Positive Psychology.
I have worked across four NHS Talking Therapy services including West London Trust, St Georges Trust and I am fully acredited by the BABCP.
