John Wild Accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over thirty-five years working in the creative arts and further education. So, I am well aware of the nature of change and uncertainty.
I believe in the client’s ability to grow and change, when nurtured in an encouraging and accepting environment. I have helped many people, from diverse backgrounds and cultures, developing their self-awareness and confidence in order to change and overcome their difficulties, in both their professional and private life.
Change means learning to control unwanted negative ways of thinking and feeling - rather than negative thoughts and feelings controlling you.
Don't hesitate to contact me for an informal chat. I'm here to help you.

First and foremost, I make sure a safe, non-judgmental environment is created in order for you to feel accepted, listened to, understood, appreciated, respected, valued and worthy.
I was trained and practise as an integrative psychotherapist. Integrative therapy combines different therapeutic tools and approaches from various therapies, such as psychodynamic, Person centred, EFT ( Emotional Freedom Technique), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt. etc. This helps to deliver a unique and effective form of treatment that is suitable for individual needs.
I also draw on the principles of mindfulness as I am a great believer in living in the here and now. I am also trained as a Hypnotherapist and can offer this as a complementary therapy.
Fees will be discussed and agreed after initial consultation.
