About me

As a person-centred counsellor, father and lifelong countryman, I will sit and listen to you in a totally and strictly non-judgemental and confidential way. Through better understanding, I will work with you to enable you to find a better insight to your thoughts and feelings and emotions, clearing the way to better mental well-being and a more comfortable life.

In my life I have experienced many high "ups" , low "downs" and extremes. These experiences help me to understand what other people are experiencing. I have worked and supported around Addiction, Depression, Bereavement, Anxiety, Trauma and PTSD. I offer support to those living with Cancer, Dementia, Huntington's, MND, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's.

I do not see the disease but the person, those close to them and the emotions that can be experienced. I am also experienced in end of life care and the implications for folk, I would also add here this includes lone workers / key workers, care home staff and emergency services staff.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Person- Centred Counselling
  • Dementia Facilitator
  • Mental Health Studies
  • End of Life Care Studies

From personal experience of being a listener, not really a talker, over the years I have gleaned some understanding of what can trouble people. Life’s experiences could come from anywhere and will impact everyone differently, but listening, understanding and accepting what life can and will throw at us is fundamental in growing from these experiences.
